The Longest Winter

"The longest winter" sounds like the title of a book. Hmmm. I'll have to think about that. But it does feel like the winter is never ending around here. A week ago we were dumped on with almost two feet of snow. It melted and was promptly replaced this week with more snow, then freezing rain, then sleet, then ice, then snow again. Help!!

Today we are to have a quiet weather day as we watch with icy anticipation another storm move up from the southwest. Depending on its track, we will get snow and/or lots of snow.

Am I whining? You bet.

I hear you. This winter has dragged on forever. I'm so ready to see green grass and trees with leaves on them.

One of the Little House books is called The Long Winter...maybe that's what you were thinking of ;) It's such a cold long winter that just thinking about that book makes we want to go make hot chocolate!

Hmm... it's just weird. Over here (Madrid, Spain) winter seems to have been rubbed out from the calendar!! This year every chance of having snow or even having to wear a thick coat has vanished. Well... I guess that's when we writers should seize the opportunity and gift some letters to the world... :) I'm glad to've found your blog. Good luck
